What you'll do
The ad describes the scene in detail: you work inside a SaaS company's revenue stack where rules contradict each other, automations still fire against a policy retired two years ago, the same customer sits under two different legal names, and permissions do not match what the documentation says. Your expertise in fixing that, and your written reasoning, is the training data.
The listed work:
- Auditing the CRM and connected revenue systems for contradictions, obsolete policies, duplicate records and inconsistencies
- Resolving policy conflicts: deciding which business rule takes precedence, and documenting why
- Drafting precise operational prompts for handling complex real-world SaaS data scenarios
- Reconciling data to a clear intended state across platforms
- Documenting recommended changes and areas you deliberately left unchanged
- Assessing the knock-on effect on billing, CPQ, ticketing or integration platforms
- Contributing views on sustainable CRM governance
Who fits
- 4–6 years hands-on CRM administration or implementation in Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar
- Real build-outs led yourself: implementations, migrations, consolidations or rollouts
- Deep configuration experience (fields, flows, validation rules, objects, permission sets). Certifications are appreciated, but practical build experience is prioritised
- Working knowledge of at least two adjacent systems: billing, subscriptions, CPQ, ticketing, project tracking or integration middleware
- Comfort in the data layer: SQL, APIs, data models and cross-system reconciliation
- SaaS background, preferably regulated industries or multi-product complexity
- Excellent professional English for documenting technical reasoning
The SQL and API line is what distinguishes the admin role from its RevOps sibling: this one expects you to get into the data, not just the configuration screens.
How it compares
This is one of two listings on what reads as the same project. The Revenue Operations & CRM Systems Specialist (SaaS) asks for 5–10 years of broader RevOps ownership and pays $45–90/hour. This admin-focused version asks for 4–6 years and pays $35–80/hour. If you have been both admin and RevOps lead, apply to the higher band.
What it pays
$35–80/hour, micro1's published band. No compensation structure, weekly hours or duration is stated, and nothing says how placement within the band is decided.
Worth knowing
Good:
- 30 openings, marked high demand
- Practical build experience counts over certifications
- Salesforce, HubSpot and Dynamics admins all qualify
- No degree or country restriction stated
Less good:
- The lowest band of micro1's RevOps-family listings, with a floor of $35
- A spread of more than 2x with no stated basis for placement
- No pay structure, hours or duration published
- Contractor engagement: no benefits, no notice period, your own tax to manage
- The customer is not named
