What you'll do

The scenario is one every RevOps person has inherited: a SaaS company's CRM, billing and ticketing systems no longer agree with each other or with written policy. Your job is to work through that mess as an expert would, and to write down the reasoning so an AI system can learn it.

The ad lists:

  • Analysing CRM, billing and ticketing data to find where operational logic and policy have drifted apart
  • Surfacing policy conflicts, outdated automations, duplicate entities, permission mismatches and undocumented processes
  • Drafting precise operational prompts that set out the correct handling of complex or ambiguous scenarios
  • Defining the intended state of the underlying data and correcting discrepancies across systems
  • Recording your reasoning, including what you deliberately left alone and why
  • Judging cascading changes that touch several systems at once
  • Writing documentation both technical and non-technical readers can use

The "what you left alone" point shows what the project wants to capture: restraint, meaning knowing which fix would break renewals or entitlements downstream, and saying so.

Who fits

  • 5–10 years hands-on in revenue operations, sales ops, CS ops or SaaS implementation, with direct system ownership
  • Having personally configured CRM fields, workflows, validation rules and permissions, rather than delegating it
  • Experience with at least two adjacent revenue tools: billing or subscriptions, CPQ, ticketing, project tracking, or automation and integration platforms
  • SaaS background, ideally fintech, healthtech, insurtech or complex multi-product implementations
  • Comfort documenting grey areas in written policy, especially around renewals and entitlement changes
  • Professional English, written and spoken

How it differs from micro1's other RevOps listings

micro1 runs several close relatives. The existing Revenue Operations Specialist (SaaS) asks for 4+ years and pays $50–100/hour, with more emphasis on compliance-constrained workflow design. This listing asks for more experience (5–10 years) for a lower band ($45–90), and is framed around auditing a drifted stack. Its sibling in the same project, the Salesforce / HubSpot Administrator, is the admin-focused version at $35–80.

What it pays

$45–90/hour, micro1's published band. No compensation structure, weekly hours or project length is stated, and nothing says how placement within the band is decided.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • 30 openings, marked high demand
  • Rewards hands-on operational judgement that is hard to monetise by the hour elsewhere
  • Regulated-vertical SaaS experience is a plus rather than a niche
  • No degree or certification requirement stated; no country restriction stated

Less good:

  • A higher experience bar than the sister listing, for a lower band
  • A 2x spread with no stated basis for placement
  • No pay structure, hours or duration published
  • Contractor engagement: no benefits, no notice period, your own tax to manage
  • The customer is not named
