Software Engineering Expert (AI Training Waitlist)

Sovrano AI: pay and who it accepts · Posted

What you'll do

Code that compiles and passes the obvious test is easy for a model to produce. Sovrano's software engineering network is for engineers who can see what happens next: the edge case that throws, the service that falls over under real traffic, the confident claim about how a system behaves that turns out to be wrong.

This is a waitlist, so read that part first. Applying does not give you a project. You join the network, complete an AI interview about your field (around 20 minutes), and Sovrano gets in touch only when a project fits your profile. It reviews the list periodically and says it will not contact everyone.

Project work, when it comes, falls into three types:

  • writing realistic programming tasks in your main languages, with the reference solution a senior engineer would ship
  • reviewing other engineers' solutions against an acceptance checklist
  • grading AI-written code and explanations for correctness, security and maintainability, including bugs and unsafe patterns

Reviewers check all of it, and only approved work is paid.

Who fits

Hands-on engineering experience qualifies, and so does a computer science degree in progress or completed. Python and JavaScript head the skill tags, followed by code review, system design, debugging, testing, algorithms and databases. Tasks are written "in your main languages", so you are not limited to those two, but they are the ones Sovrano names.

The ad's framing (code that fails under real traffic, engineers who have "been paged for it") points toward people who have run production systems. Students qualify on paper; production experience is what the examples describe. You also need fluent written English, reliable internet, a quiet workspace, and willingness to code without AI help when a project says so.

What it pays

The listing caps the rate at $150 an hour and gives no minimum. Each project's rate is set separately and sent in writing with scope and hours before you begin. Payment terms are not published on the listing.

No work is lined up until a project matches your background.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Open to working engineers and computer science students alike
  • You write tasks in the languages you use most
  • Written scope and rate before you commit, with the option to decline
  • Remote and part-time, covering North America, Europe and Turkey

Less good:

  • No project attached; contact is not guaranteed
  • $150 is a ceiling, and your actual rate is set later
  • Rejected work goes unpaid
  • No hours per week are given

About this listing

Sovrano dated the posting 28 October 2026. We read it from the signed-in job list on 1 November 2026, when applications were open. Location is three regions with no country list. See Sovrano AI.

How to get hired

  • The screening step is the AI interview of about 20 minutes; Sovrano says its assessment covers domain knowledge and evaluation ability.
  • List your main languages first, then a system you maintained in production: what broke and how you fixed it. Link a repository with tests if you have one.
  • Practise code review in writing: take an AI-written function, find the input that breaks it, and write a short review naming the bug, the failing case and the fix.
  • Read our interview prep section before the interview.
