What you'll do

This is image-puzzle building for AI evaluation. You find real photographs of places, products and media from the Korean market, hide the details that give them away, and write the materials a grader needs. A multimodal agent then has to work out what the picture shows using Google Search, Google Lens or reverse image search before it can restore the missing content.

Each instance is a full package:

  • A properly sourced image, with its licence type and provenance documented
  • A cropped, masked, occluded or degraded version that keeps realistic secondary clues
  • A time-bound English prompt that does not reveal the answer
  • A one-sentence, objective grading criterion
  • Solution notes with the ground-truth identity, your research path and the supporting evidence

Who fits

  • Native or highly fluent Korean, with strong working English; prompts, rubrics and notes are all written in English
  • Deep local knowledge of regionally significant but non-touristy landmarks, universities, municipal buildings and domestic film and media; the ad calls this critical
  • Comfort with iterative reverse-image research
  • Knowledge of sourcing from Wikimedia Commons, Smithsonian Open Access, Creative Commons and public-domain collections, or taking your own photos
  • Basic image editing (cropping, masking, overlays) and tidy work in shared Google Drive folders
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in any field; AI evaluation, annotation or QA experience is preferred, not required

What it pays

The ad does not publish a rate. Turing sets rates per project, so check the figure in the application before committing; the company page explains how Turing usually handles this.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Unusual, creative work for photographers and people with strong local knowledge
  • No degree subject required
  • Fully remote contractor role

Less good:

  • No stated pay
  • At least 4 hours a day and 20 hours a week, with 4 hours of overlap with Pacific Time
  • Applicants must grant app-integration permissions the project needs and sign consent forms and NDAs
  • Selection steps: a Job Interest Form for shortlisted candidates, then onboarding and consent steps
