What you'll do

This one targets Danish speakers, and the ad treats Danish as a hard requirement next to English. The task is analytical rather than linguistic: take long content, divide it into smaller logical pieces, summarise, check what it claims by researching online, and use a language model to solve puzzles. Where the model gets something wrong, you write the correct answer and explain why, and you invent new scenarios likely to trip it up.

Sample tasks in the ad are a location-by-month sales comparison (what period should count, and should a volatile start be set aside?) and a rule-bound delivery puzzle across Oak, Pine, Maple and Elm neighbourhoods. The ad does not say how the work divides between languages.

Who fits

  • English and Danish, both mandatory
  • Good research and analytical skills, with creative, lateral thinking
  • Able to give constructive feedback and detailed annotations
  • Independent in a remote setting, with a desktop or laptop and a good connection
  • Up to 40 hours a week preferred, overlapping US hours

Preferred: a degree in engineering, literature, journalism, communications, arts, statistics or related (or equivalent experience), professional writing background, Excel and Google Suite, and data interpretation and basic arithmetic. The ad says no other specialised domain experience is needed.

What it pays

The ad does not publish a rate; Turing sets rates per project. Compare how other Turing listings disclose pay at Turing.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Accessible: no specialist domain knowledge is asked for
  • Remote, with possible extension depending on performance and project needs
  • Experience can stand in for a degree

Less good:

  • Needs overlap with UTC-8 (America/Los_Angeles) for 2 to 5 hours a day, which means evenings and late nights in Denmark
  • Contractor assignment, no medical or paid leave
  • No contract length, rate or assessment details in the ad
