What you'll do
You listen to and read outputs from Danish audio and language models and compare them, deciding which sample is more accurate, more fluent and more natural, and how good each one is overall. The listing points at the fine detail: grammar, pronunciation, tone, phrasing and word choice, and above all whether spoken Danish actually sounds like something a Dane would say in that context.
That last point is the hard part of Danish for speech models. Much of the spoken language is reduced and swallowed compared with how it is written, stød carries meaning, and a synthetic voice can pronounce every word "correctly" and still sound wrong. The project pays for noticing that, and for a clear sentence explaining why.
Each task is short: the listing puts them at 30 seconds to 4 minutes. Expect a high-volume, repetitive rhythm of listen, compare, rate and justify, following project guidelines. The listing does not say how many units are available or how long the project runs.
Who fits
- Strong command of Danish grammar, spelling and natural speech patterns
- Familiarity with Danish pronunciation, phonology and dialect variation
- The ability to explain small differences between two samples clearly, and to apply the same standard from one task to the next
The listing does not ask for a degree, years of experience, a linguistics background or AI experience, and it names no country of residence. It reads as a role for a careful native speaker rather than a credentialed specialist, though some grounding in phonology will make the rating calls easier to justify.
What it pays
$1.30 per unit. Using the listing's own task length (30 seconds to 4 minutes), our arithmetic puts the effective rate between about $19.50 an hour if every unit takes the full 4 minutes and far more if units really take 30 seconds. Realistically it will depend on how long the audio clips are and how much written justification each unit needs, and the listing does not say. Time spent reading guidelines, and the unpaid qualification step, is not covered by the unit rate.
The same per-unit rate appears on Invisible's Dutch sibling listing; most of Invisible's other voice work is paid by the hour at $17.
Contract terms on the listing: independent contractor basis, fully remote, on your own schedule, with payment issued weekly via Stripe or Wise. Invisible states it cannot support H1-B or STEM OPT contractors.
Getting started
The listing shows two steps before paid work: upload your résumé (about 5 minutes), then unlock paid projects (about 30 minutes). The second is an unpaid qualification, so budget half an hour for it and treat it as a sample of the task.
Worth knowing
Good:
- Danish is a small market for AI speech work, so native speakers face less competition than on the big European languages
- Very short tasks that fit around other commitments
- Per-unit pay can beat the $17 hourly rate common on Invisible's voice listings if you work quickly and accurately
- Weekly payment via Stripe or Wise is stated in the terms
Less good:
- Per-unit pay means slow or difficult clips lower your effective rate, and the listing does not say how long clips are
- No guaranteed volume; projects can be shortened or ended early
- Unpaid qualification step before any paid work
- No H1-B or STEM OPT contractors
About this listing
Read on Invisible's Meridial marketplace on 26 September 2026; it had been posted about two months before we read it. The rate, task length, requirements and contract terms are Invisible's own text; the effective hourly arithmetic and the notes on Danish speech are ours. The client is not named.
