What you'll do
Most Danes read and write English well, which can make it tempting to assume AI models work just as well in Danish. They often do not: a model's safety behaviour is usually tuned most heavily in English, and Danish phrasing, humour, understatement and informal written style give plenty of room for a request to slip past. This role pays native speakers to find those gaps.
The ad's three tasks:
- Writing expert-level prompts in Danish across a range of sensitive subject areas
- Applying structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations
- Flagging adversarial phrasings and escalation patterns, and documenting your reasoning
You will be producing requests a model should decline or handle carefully, and noticing when a conversation is building towards something. The specific sensitive topics are not named in the ad, so be ready for difficult content.
Mercor trains you on the workflow, and no AI experience is required.
Who fits
- Native or near-native Danish and business-level written English
- A bachelor's degree, completed or still in progress
- Strong written reasoning and a close eye for detail
- Sound judgment around sensitive and dual-use information
Helpful extras: experience reviewing, grading or red-teaming written or technical content, or a trust and safety, content moderation, policy evaluation or adversarial testing background.
Denmark or the wider Western Europe region is preferred; applicants elsewhere are welcome.
What it pays
$48–52 per hour, Mercor's published figure. That is the common generalist rate in this series (Finnish, German, French, Japanese, Korean and Belgian Dutch match it), while the Norwegian generalist role pays $58–62. The Danish STEM (PhD) version pays $61–65 for chemists and biologists.
Payments are weekly via Stripe or Wise, based on services rendered.
Worth knowing
Good:
- Low entry bar: a degree in progress qualifies
- No AI background needed, with training provided
- Fully remote, your own hours, immediate start
- 5 hires this month when we checked
Less good:
- Sensitive by design; topics not disclosed
- Hours and project length not stated; projects can be extended, shortened or ended early
- Independent contractor: no benefits, and in Denmark you will need to declare this as B-income or business income yourself
- H-1B and STEM OPT candidates excluded
