What you'll do

The Korean assignment is aimed at people who can move between Korean and English material. The ad's one-line pitch is to analyse content and improve AI models using Korean and English insights. In practice that means reading long content, splitting it into logical blocks, summarising, verifying claims through online research, and working with a language model on puzzles. You also write test scenarios the model fails and supply the correct answer plus the reasoning.

Samples include comparing sales growth across locations from monthly data and a rule-based neighbourhood delivery puzzle. The ad does not specify which tasks are in Korean.

Who fits

  • English and Korean, both mandatory
  • Good research and analytical skills, creative and lateral thinking
  • Constructive feedback and detailed annotation
  • Independent remote worker with a desktop or laptop and a good connection
  • Up to 40 hours a week preferred, overlapping US hours

Preferred: a degree in engineering, literature, journalism, communications, arts, statistics or similar (relevant experience can replace it), professional writing or translation background, Excel and Google Suite, and data interpretation and basic arithmetic. The ad says no other specialised domain experience is needed.

What it pays

No rate is published. Turing sets rates per project; see Turing.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • A professional translator or editor background counts as relevant writing experience
  • Remote, with possible extension depending on performance and project needs
  • No specialist domain knowledge needed

Less good:

  • The ad requires some overlap with UTC-8 (America/Los_Angeles), 2 to 5 hours a day; for Korea that lands in the early hours of the morning or late evening
  • Contractor assignment, no medical or paid leave
  • No contract length, rate or assessment steps are stated
