Invisible Technologies AI trainer roles explained
Platform comparison · Today
Invisible Technologies hires AI trainers through Meridial, its contractor marketplace. Its 27 listings on this site fall into four groups: $17 an hour language and audio evaluation, $21 coding and JSON evaluation, better-paid technical work at $35 and $60, and a few jobs paid per unit. Here is what each involves and how to get in.
Who is hiring: Invisible, through Meridial
Invisible Technologies AI trainer roles do not go through an Invisible careers page. The work runs through Meridial, which its FAQ calls "an expert contractor marketplace powered by Invisible Technologies", and the expert link in the navigation of invisibletech.ai goes to meridial.ai. An invitation that says Meridial is Invisible work.
Meridial describes the job in its FAQ: writing and answering prompts, evaluating and ranking responses, improving chain-of-thought reasoning and red-teaming, plus building reinforcement learning environments (environment design, trajectory validation, judge model calibration, reward signal design and edge cases). You work as an independent contractor, not an employee of Meridial or Invisible.
The four kinds of role on our board
This site lists 27 Invisible roles. Grouped by what they pay, they fall into four families.
The largest group, 15 listings, pays $17 an hour for language, voice and audio evaluation: voice and audio evaluation in French, Arabic and Portuguese, dialect and localisation work such as Kansai Japanese and Cantonese, a multilingual personalisation evaluation role, music stem separation and image data evaluation. The rate is the same whatever the language.
Seven listings pay $21 an hour for coding and JSON evaluation, each tied to a language: German, Dutch, Italian, Welsh, Brazilian Portuguese, Canadian French and one multilingual version. You need to read code and structured data, and you need fluency in the language.
Two technical roles pay more. Real-World Terminal and Infrastructure Scenarios pays $35, and Technical Task Auditor pays $60, the highest Invisible rate on the board. Both are software engineering roles.
Three listings pay per unit instead. The Danish and Dutch speaker projects pay $1.30 per unit, and Pin to Product pays $0.15 per task. What these work out to per hour depends on how fast you go, which our guide to how you actually get paid covers.
None of the 27 lists a country restriction on our site. Requirements can change after we publish, so check the project page before you apply.
How you get in
Meridial's FAQ gives the process in one paragraph. You create a profile, complete a brief confirmation step and browse open opportunities. If you are matched, you sign a Statement of Work and work on your own schedule. Meridial says it has more than 700 engagements across 12 domains and publishes the rate range on each one before you commit.
Students and recent graduates have their own route: search results evaluation at $15 to $20 an hour, according to Meridial's students page.
Before you sign up
Meridial is clear that joining does not mean work. Its FAQ says "there's no guarantee of immediate work" and that availability varies by domain, experience level and timing. It also says earnings are "processed every two weeks". Our Invisible Technologies company page notes that individual listings have stated a different schedule, so check the payment terms in your Statement of Work.
All pay figures come from the 27 Invisible listings on this site on 12 October 2026; process details come from Meridial's FAQ and students page, read the same day. We are not affiliated with Invisible or Meridial.
