Bilingual Audio Contributor (Malayalam/English)

What you'll do

Malayalam sits alongside Kannada in AfterQuery's September batch of short accent recordings, and the job is the same shape: take the script you are given, follow the step-by-step guide, record yourself reading it in your natural Malayalam-influenced English, and submit through the designated platform. The ad puts it at about 15 minutes or less. It is not the ongoing Indian/English bilingual project, which has weekly hours and transcript review.

Who fits

• A natural, authentic Malayalam-influenced English accent; imitation is not accepted
• A smartphone or computer with a microphone
• Able to follow simple written English instructions independently
• All genders welcome

Preferred: experience with voice recording, narration or audio contribution.

What it pays

$50 flat for one recording. The $30/hr on the board is a headline label; the ad pays per submission. A faked or imitated accent is unpaid and the recording is removed.

Worth knowing

Good:

• Small time cost for a known fee
• Voice experience is a plus, with no requirement for it
• If you also want regular hours, the Indian/English listing from the same company is the one for ongoing work

Less good:

• Only 3 to 5 Malayalam-accent speakers are accepted
• Single submission only
• No payment date or verification steps in the ad; the company page describes AfterQuery's general arrangements
