What you'll do

This role is built around consulting deliverables. You create or source authentic examples (research briefs, market overviews, strategy decks, client memos, analytical spreadsheets), write detailed prompts describing the analytical task that would produce each one, and then evaluate model responses, giving feedback on accuracy and fit with consulting methods.

So the work is half reverse engineering, working backwards from a finished deck or memo to the question a client would ask, and half review. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills matter because the deliverables are the product.

Who fits

  • A native English speaker
  • At least 6 months of consulting experience, with a solid grasp of methodology and client engagement
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills for analysis and presentation

Preferred: management, strategy or business advisory experience across industries, prior consulting publications or thought leadership, and an MBA or advanced degree. The bar of 6 months is low for a $125/hr role, which makes this unusually open to early-career consultants. The application form asks for no credential.

What it pays

The board shows $125/hr, the highest figure in this finance batch. The ad states no range, minimum hours or payment terms.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Flexible hours and remote work
  • Output is a portfolio-style set of consulting artefacts

Less good:

  • Native English is a hard requirement
  • No stated hours or volume, and payment terms are not published on the listing
  • The ad pitches startup exposure and portfolio building, which is a softer benefit than guaranteed work
