What you'll do

The ad calls the role Consulting Deliverables Expert. You help build datasets that capture how consulting work really looks: research briefs, market overviews, strategy decks, client memos and analytical spreadsheets. You either create or source authentic examples of these, write a detailed prompt describing the analytical task that would produce each one, and then write a concise rubric separating excellent, average and poor outputs.

So the output is a triple: a deliverable, the task behind it, and a standard for judging it. That is closer to editorial and quality-bar work than to doing client analysis.

Who fits

  • A native English speaker
  • 1 to 5 years in consulting, including at least one stint at a leading firm (the ad refers to "an aforementioned leading firm" but the text we read does not name them, so check the application page)
  • Strong desk research, synthesis and presentation skills
  • Able to produce polished, client-ready material

Preferred: leading workstreams or research-heavy modules, familiarity with MECE, issue trees and hypothesis-driven problem solving, and proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and structured business writing.

What it pays

$125/hr, the board figure. The ad text gives no range, so treat it as flat.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • A high hourly figure for a role pitched at people with 1 to 5 years of experience
  • Remote, asynchronous and part-time with flexible hours
  • Your own past-style work is the raw material

Less good:

  • The experience bar names a leading-firm requirement that you cannot fully verify from the ad text alone
  • Native English is required
  • Sourcing "authentic" deliverables raises client confidentiality questions; the ad does not address them, so do not reuse anything you are not free to share
  • No hours, project length or payment terms are published; the company page describes how AfterQuery pays in general

AfterQuery's help centre describes an unpaid, one-attempt assessment and ID verification for expert pools; this listing does not describe its own hiring steps.
