What you'll do

This is a project-based role, not an open-ended one. The ad says the work runs over the next 2 to 3 weeks, asynchronously, with an expected commitment of 10 to 20 hours a week on the projects you accept. Tasks span demand planning, procurement, logistics analysis, inventory management and technical evaluation across a variety of industries and supply chain functions. Specifically, you review and evaluate supply chain plans, procurement scenarios, logistics workflows and operational documents, and analyse demand forecasts, inventory strategies, sourcing decisions and distribution trade-offs.

The ad does not use the words AI training, but it is posted on AfterQuery's expert board and the work is evaluation of operational material, which is why it is included here.

Who fits

  • 1 to 3 years of professional experience as a supply chain analyst, demand planner, procurement specialist, logistics coordinator or similar, in a full-time or equivalent role
  • Strong working knowledge of planning, sourcing, inventory and fulfilment
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve operational questions independently using data
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in supply chain management, operations, industrial engineering, business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred: experience across industries such as manufacturing, retail, CPG, ecommerce or healthcare; familiarity with S&OP, MRP, lean or Six Sigma; exposure to tools like SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Kinaxis or Excel modelling; and a background spanning planning and execution. The application form asks for a supply chain certification (CPIM, CSCP, CPSM or CLTD), marked optional.

What it pays

The board shows $75/hr, and the ad text states no range, so that is the single figure used. The ad calls the pay exceptional but does not publish payment terms; see the company page.

How the process works

The ad does not describe hiring steps. AfterQuery's help centre describes an unpaid, one-attempt assessment and ID verification; see the AfterQuery company page.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Entry-friendly bar of 1 to 3 years, with equivalent experience accepted for the degree
  • Fully remote, on your own schedule, with a clear end point
  • Varied tasks across planning, sourcing, logistics and operations

Less good:

  • Short window of 2 to 3 weeks, so this is not steady income
  • 10 to 20 hours a week is a meaningful commitment for that window
  • The ad does not state payment terms or contractor status
