What you'll do

The output under review is the presentation layer of data science: analysis decks, results write-ups, spreadsheets of metrics, experiment summaries. AI models produce them; you decide whether a data science lead would sign off.

For each artifact you:

• Judge whether it is usable in a real data science setting
• Find factual errors (a wrong statistic, a misread result, a chart that implies something the data does not) and presentation or visual problems
• Write clear, structured feedback

Most of the value you bring is statistical judgment applied to communication. Misleading axes, correlation sold as causation and conclusions that outrun the sample are the kinds of errors a generalist reviewer would wave through.

Who fits

Must have, per the ad:

• 5+ years of professional data science experience at a top firm in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia or New Zealand
• Native or professional English
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

Preferred: a master's degree or higher.

What it pays

$100–150 per hour, Mercor's own published range, paid weekly via Stripe or Wise. The ad does not say what moves you up the band.
