What you'll do

You play both sides of a contract negotiation that does not exist: simulated negotiations and redlining exercises built so an AI can be trained and tested on the same scenarios. Then you review how the AI handled them, giving expert feedback on how it spots risk and reads contract language.

The longer-lived part is evaluation design. You write objective frameworks and grading criteria so AI performance on contract tasks is scored with rigour and consistency, and you work with product and research teams on the underlying data and guidelines.

The ad calls this a part-time role.

Who qualifies

Required:

  • At least three years of in-house experience focused on technology transactions, particularly negotiating MSAs, NDAs and DPAs
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and attention to detail
  • The ability to turn legal expertise into feedback AI teams can use
  • Interest in law and technology, and experience in cross-disciplinary, fast-paced teams

Preferred:

  • Prior exposure to AI, legal tech or training initiatives
  • Experience at a corporate law firm in M&A or fund formation for private equity firms

The experience must be in-house (firm-side work does not count), and no JD, bar admission or jurisdiction is listed at all, which separates this from micro1's other Contract Attorney posting, Contract Attorney (US Bar Admission), where both are required.

What it pays

$85–105/hour. That is $5 below the sibling's floor and $25 below its ceiling. No compensation structure is stated here, whereas some micro1 contract listings of this template spell out task-based pay; ask which applies.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • No bar admission or law school requirement listed
  • A tight $20 band
  • Part-time by design
  • Freshly posted, 50 openings, marked high demand

Less good:

  • In-house only; firm-side tech transactions lawyers are not the target
  • The lowest band among micro1's current contract-redlining listings
  • No pay structure, hours or duration published
  • Contractor engagement: no benefits, no notice period, your own tax to manage

About this listing
