What you'll do
You write benchmark tasks that test whether an AI agent can think like a licensed securities or commodities rep. Scenarios cover trading, client advisory and compliance reasoning, built on the kind of material you use at a desk: market data, client documentation and regulatory references, in CSVs, PDFs, spreadsheets and technical documents.
For each task you decide the correct market decision or advisory action and justify it against the relevant compliance framework. Then you write a rubric of 35 or more items that scores the agent on market judgement, compliance sensitivity and the accuracy of its client communication. The ad insists the tasks reflect real day-to-day complexity rather than simplified cases, and you work with micro1's technical team to sharpen them.
The central judgement is the same one the job itself turns on: a trade can make commercial sense and still be wrong to recommend to this client.
Who fits
- An active Series 7/63 licence or an international equivalent
- At least 4 years at a brokerage, bank or trading platform with heavy compliance involvement
- Direct experience executing trades and advising clients in securities and commodities
- Fluent with market data, technical documentation and regulatory material
- Excellent written and spoken communication, and precise documentation
- Ability to design nuanced tasks and rubrics from real financial operations
No AI experience is required. All of the above are listed as preferred rather than required.
What it pays
$30–80/hour as published, but compensation is output-based: you are paid per task that meets the project specifications, with a minimum number of tasks per week. Neither the per-task fee nor the minimum is published, and a 35-item rubric per task means early tasks will run long.
For a licensed rep, the bottom of this band is low; the top is more realistic as side income.
Worth knowing
Good:
- International equivalents to the Series 7/63 are accepted
- Direct use of compliance judgement, which few AI roles test
- 50 openings, flagged as high demand
- Fast start: micro1 says roles fill within 48 hours and first tasks begin 24–48 hours after onboarding
Less good:
- Per-task pay with an unpublished weekly minimum
- Wide band with no placement criteria
- Check your employer's outside-activity rules before taking this on while licensed with a firm
- Contractor engagement: no benefits, your own tax to manage
