What you'll do
Dutch is the language on this Turing analyst assignment, with English required alongside it. The day-to-day is reading and condensing long content into logical blocks, researching online to validate what it says, and working with a language model to solve puzzles. The output that matters is feedback for the model: scenarios it gets wrong, with your correct answer and a clear explanation.
The ad illustrates this with a monthly sales comparison across locations (which time window, and should a volatile start count?) and a four-neighbourhood delivery puzzle governed by ordering rules. The ad does not say how the tasks are split between Dutch and English.
Who fits
- English and Dutch, both mandatory
- Good research and analytical skills, creative and lateral thinking
- Constructive feedback and detailed annotation
- Independent remote worker with a desktop or laptop and a good connection
- Up to 40 hours a week preferred, overlapping US hours
Preferred: a degree in engineering, literature, journalism, communications, arts, statistics or related (relevant experience also welcome), professional writing background, Excel and Google Suite, and data interpretation and basic arithmetic. No other specialised domain experience is needed.
What it pays
The ad does not publish a rate. Turing sets rates per project; see Turing.
Worth knowing
Good:
- Entry-level in spirit: the ad asks for habits and language, not a specialism
- Remote, with possible extension depending on performance and project needs
- Writers, editors and translators are named as fitting backgrounds
Less good:
- The ad requires some overlap with UTC-8 (America/Los_Angeles), 2 to 5 hours a day, so Dutch contractors will work late evenings
- Contractor assignment with no medical or paid leave
- No contract length, rate or assessment details are given
