What you'll do
Norwegian is spoken by a small population, so the pool of qualified reviewers for it is small too, which is the reason roles like this exist. The work: read and summarise large content, split it into logical pieces, check its claims with online research, and tackle puzzle-style analytical questions where the model errs, writing the correct answer and an explanation it can learn from. The ad's examples are a sales growth comparison by location and a postman delivery puzzle.
You need English and Norwegian. The ad does not say whether Bokmål or Nynorsk is expected.
Who fits
- English and Norwegian at working level (mandatory)
- Good analysis, research and feedback skills with creative thinking
- Self-motivated, remote, laptop or desktop with a good connection
- Preferred: degree in engineering, literature, journalism, communications, arts, statistics or similar (or comparable experience), professional writing, Excel and Google Suite, data interpretation and basic arithmetic
No further domain experience is needed.
What it pays
The ad publishes no rate; Turing sets rates per project (see Turing). Nothing is stated beyond the perks list.
Worth knowing
Good:
- Smaller-language role, which may mean fewer qualified applicants
- Up to 40 hours a week preferred
- Fully remote
- No specialism required
- Possible extension depending on performance and project needs
Less good:
- No contract duration given
- Overlap of 2 to 5 hours a day with US Pacific time (UTC-8) required
- Contractor engagement, no medical or paid leave
- No pay figure
How you get in
The ad estimates 80 to 90 minutes in total: an automated analytical challenge (about 30 minutes), an English business writing assessment (about 30 minutes) and a Norwegian proficiency assessment (about 20 minutes).
