What you'll do
Spanish is one of the most widely spoken languages, so this listing is a general-purpose analytical role rather than a niche one. The job is to take a piece of content, summarise it, break it into logical parts, validate its claims through online research, and then solve puzzle-style questions where a language model tends to fail. For those failures you supply the correct answer and a clear explanation. The ad gives a month-by-month sales comparison and a delivery-order logic puzzle as typical tasks.
Both English and Spanish are required. The ad does not say how the work divides between them.
Who fits
- English and Spanish, both at working level (stated as mandatory)
- Solid research, analysis and written feedback skills
- Independent, comfortable remote, with a laptop or desktop and a good connection
- Preferred: degree in a field such as engineering, literature, journalism, communications, arts or statistics (or equivalent experience), professional writing background, Excel and Google Suite, data interpretation and basic arithmetic
No other specialised domain experience is needed, according to the ad.
What it pays
No rate is published in the ad. Turing sets rates per project (see Turing). The ad mentions competitive compensation based on experience and expertise, without figures.
Worth knowing
Good:
- Choice of 20, 30 or 40 hours a week, minimum 4 hours a day
- Remote, flexible working hours within the overlap
- No domain specialism needed
- Contract may be extended depending on performance and project needs
Less good:
- Two-month contract
- Overlap of 2 to 5 hours a day with US Pacific time (UTC-8) required, so this suits some time zones better than others
- Contractor assignment: no medical or paid leave
- No rate shown before you apply
How you get in
The sequence in the ad: an automated analytical challenge, then an English business writing assessment, then a Spanish language proficiency assessment.
