What you'll do
This is clinical review for an AI healthcare model, carried out in Korean as well as English. You assess what the model produces against your own clinical experience, mark where it falls short, and annotate clinical scenarios, patient cases and healthcare data so the next version reasons better. You also turn complex clinical terminology and workflows into guidance the model can use.
Korean medical writing mixes Sino-Korean terms, English loanwords and abbreviations in ways that trip up models trained mostly on English text, and Korean practice has its own protocols and documentation habits. A reviewer who moves between both languages without effort is what the customer is paying for. The project involves some work with data scientists and engineers, under strict security and privacy rules.
Who fits
- Residency completed, with current or recent clinical practice (those in their final year are considered)
- Strong diagnostic analysis, general medicine, clinical protocol and physiology knowledge
- A general specialty is preferred (internal medicine, family practice, emergency medicine), with some subspecialties welcome
- Clear written and spoken command of clinical terminology
- Experience with EHRs, patient data or medical documentation
- Korean at native or high level (TOPIK Level 5+ or equivalent)
- English at C1 or higher
No AI background is required.
What it pays
micro1 lists a flat $125/hour, the same as the Japanese sibling. With a minimum of about 15 hours a week, the floor works out to roughly $1,875 a week before tax (our arithmetic, not a micro1 figure). No project length is stated.
Selection and start
Four stages: an AI interview of around 35 minutes, a short questionnaire, a review by the client, then an offer and onboarding. Tasks typically start within 24–48 hours of credentials arriving, according to the ad.
Worth knowing
Good:
- One fixed rate, so there is no guessing where you land in a band
- Worldwide eligibility suits Korean-speaking doctors practising abroad
- The language bar is TOPIK 5+, slightly more open than the Japanese listing's native or near-native N1
- 30 openings and quick onboarding
Less good:
- A 15-hour weekly minimum on top of clinical work is a real commitment
- C1 English is required as well as high-level Korean
- No customer, project length or task breakdown is published
- Monolingual physicians earn more on micro1's Medical Doctor - Physician Expert listing ($230/hour)
- Contractor engagement: no benefits, your own tax to manage
