What you'll do
The client is training an AI to do customer support well, and your work is the example it learns from. You answer customer inquiries across several channels with clear, empathetic, efficient responses; log and track cases in a CRM; dig into root causes and propose fixes; and explain products in a way that actually educates the customer.
Beyond individual replies, you write and review support documentation and FAQs, share what you notice about recurring problems and customer sentiment, and provide scenario-based input: realistic support situations, including the awkward ones, with what a strong response looks like.
Tone matters as much as accuracy here. The ad stresses empathy and "attention to tone and clarity", so expect review to focus on how a reply lands as well as whether it solves the problem.
Who fits
All listed as preferred:
- At least 3 years of professional customer support
- Handling complex cases with empathy and a solution-first approach
- Excellent writing and speaking, with attention to tone
- Advanced CRM and support-tool skills
- Strong product-knowledge transfer and user education
- Analytical problem-solving under time pressure
- Remote or distributed team experience is a plus
Where you can work from
The location is listed as remote, US based.
What it pays
$21–45/hour, micro1's published band. No compensation structure, weekly hours or project length is stated. The floor sits close to many in-house support wages; the ceiling is well above them.
Worth knowing
Good:
- An accessible entry to AI training work for experienced support agents
- Documentation and scenario writing sit alongside the replies, which builds a more varied workload than a queue
- No AI experience required
Less good:
- US only
- Only 10 openings
- A 2x band with no published basis for placement
- No hours, duration or hiring steps published
- Contractor engagement: no benefits, your own tax to manage
