AI Agent Tester: Real-World Tasks
What you'll do
AI agents are starting to handle real errands, and this project wants to know how well they do from a user's point of view. You test two AI agents side by side on your own accounts and phone. The scenarios are everyday ones: bills, returns, email follow-ups, bookings, shopping, groceries, travel, family logistics, outings and forms.
You approve or stop each agent at key steps, screen record every attempt, and score each run on completion, quality, control issues, satisfaction and time. You also write clear feedback on the agent experience. The ad puts a run, including evidence and scoring, at about 1.5 hours.
What you need
- Based in the US, with a Bachelor's degree
- Someone who already uses AI in daily life
- 2–3 years of experience, preferably in engineering, business management or office and operations
- A personal AI assistant account on the Plus tier, plus active Muse and Dots access
- A smartphone that can screen record
- A payment card you can use for test purchases, which the ad says are reimbursed afterward
- Detail-oriented, good at following instructions and documenting each step, with clear written communication
No coding or AI background is needed, and generalists are welcome, although the ad says domain experts are preferred.
What it pays
micro1 states $25–45/hour for this role. The ad does not say whether pay is hourly or per run, and it does not state a payment schedule. Because test purchases are reimbursed afterward, you front the money for them; the ad does not say how fast reimbursement arrives.
Worth knowing
Good:
- 50 openings and "New" and "High demand" badges; the project is described as already active
- Work is done from your phone on your own schedule
- Onboarding is described as within 24–48 hours of selection
- No coding or AI background needed
Less good:
- You need a paid Plus-tier assistant plan and access to other tools, which is a cost before you earn
- You front test-purchase money until it is reimbursed
- Screening is a questionnaire plus a 15–30 minute interview, then a profile review before you reach the client
- Screen recording your own phone means your personal accounts and activity are part of the evidence
- US-only, with a degree requirement
