  • fhir records
  • history of present illness
  • past medical history
  • rubric
  • inpatient/hospitalist experience
  • quality assurance

What you'll do

You verify inpatient charts for an AI training project. That means reading raw FHIR data and clinical notes, checking whether each clinical claim is supported by the record, and flagging what is missing, wrong or inconsistent across HPI, PMH, assessments and plans. Rubrics appear in the skills list, so the output is scored against a written standard, and you report findings to the project team as you go.

The task text matches micro1's other Hospitalist Physician postings exactly. This one is worth a separate look because of the pay range, which is wider than any of them.

Who fits

  • MD or DO, board certified in internal medicine, pediatrics or hospital medicine
  • Inpatient or hospitalist work within the last two years
  • A strong grasp of inpatient documentation and hospital workflows
  • Comfort with clinical notes and raw medical record data
  • Careful, consistent application of guidelines
  • Chart review, CDI, utilization review or coding/QA experience is a plus, as is work across several inpatient services

No minimum years of practice are stated, unlike the five-year bar on micro1's specialty hospitalist listings.

What it pays

$70–125/hour, micro1's published band. The $55 spread is the widest among micro1's current hospitalist postings, and the ad does not say what moves you from the floor to the top. Its floor matches the older $70–100 listing; its ceiling matches the $80–125 specialty listings. If your background is chart review or CDI on top of clinical work, that is the most likely lever, but the ad does not confirm it. Plan around $70 until you see an offer. No pay structure, weekly hours or duration is published.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • The highest ceiling among micro1's Hospitalist Physician postings
  • No minimum years stated; recent inpatient work is the main bar
  • Internists, pediatricians and hospital medicine specialists all qualify
  • Thirty openings, flagged high demand
  • Remote, with no country restriction stated

Less good:

  • A $70 floor, and no published basis for placement in the band
  • Fewer openings (thirty) than the $100–120 sibling posted a day later (fifty)
  • The two-year recency rule excludes physicians who have left inpatient work
  • No pay structure, hours or duration published
  • Contractor engagement: no benefits, your own tax to manage

About this listing

Posted by micro1 on its referral jobs board and read on 12 October 2026. The $70–125/hour band, thirty openings and qualifications are micro1's own text. Location is given only as remote. Payment schedule and visa terms are not published on the listing. We added the pay band to the title because micro1 runs several identically named Hospitalist Physician postings at different rates.
