What you'll do

This is structured chart review for an AI training customer. You read inpatient medical records, including raw FHIR data and clinical notes, and check whether the clinical claims attached to them are actually supported. The documentation in scope is HPI, PMH, assessments and plans. You flag what is missing, wrong or inconsistent, apply the project guidelines the same way every time, and report findings and feedback to the project team. The skills list also names rubrics, so expect to score against a written standard rather than write free-form opinions.

The description is word for word the same task as micro1's existing Hospitalist Physician listing. What differs is the money and the volume: this posting carries a $100–120 band and fifty openings, against $70–100 and thirty on the older one.

Who fits

  • MD or DO, board certified in internal medicine, pediatrics or hospital medicine
  • Current or recent inpatient or hospitalist work (within the last two years)
  • A strong grasp of inpatient documentation and hospital workflows
  • Comfort with clinical notes and raw medical record data
  • Consistent, detail-oriented application of guidelines
  • Chart review, CDI, utilization review or coding/QA experience is a plus, as is work across several inpatient services

Unlike the internal medicine, pediatric and family medicine hospitalist listings micro1 posted the same week, this one sets no five-year minimum.

What it pays

$100–120/hour, micro1's published figure. It is the narrowest band among micro1's current hospitalist postings, and its floor is the highest of the Hospitalist Physician listings: $20 above the specialty listings' $80 floor and $30 above the $70–125 Hospitalist Physician posting. No compensation structure, weekly hours or duration is stated, so whether this is time-based or a per-task equivalent is not answered by the ad.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Highest floor of micro1's Hospitalist Physician listings, with a tight band
  • No minimum years of practice stated
  • Internists, pediatricians and hospital medicine specialists all qualify
  • Fifty openings, flagged high demand
  • Remote, with no country restriction stated

Less good:

  • The top of the band is lower than the $125 cap on the sibling listings
  • The two-year recency rule excludes physicians who have left inpatient work
  • Raw FHIR review is slow going if you have only ever seen records through an EHR front end
  • No pay structure, hours or duration published
  • Contractor engagement: no benefits, your own tax to manage

About this listing

Posted by micro1 on its referral jobs board and read on 12 October 2026. The $100–120/hour band, fifty openings and qualifications are micro1's own text. Location is given only as remote. Payment schedule and visa terms are not published on the listing. We added the pay band to the title because micro1 runs several identically named Hospitalist Physician postings at different rates.
