What you'll do
The project works with business data that has already been through a redaction or anonymisation pass. You review those datasets for accuracy, completeness and relevance, and you spot-check the transformed output to confirm personal information was actually removed. Anything missed gets flagged; inconsistencies and anomalies get logged and resolved.
The job has two halves, which is what sets it apart from a pure redaction check. One is privacy: applying PII protocols during document review and keeping every deliverable inside the security rules. The other is data quality: judging whether the business data itself is sound enough to train on. Your written feedback and recommendations go into the customer's AI training process.
Who fits
- Experience handling large datasets that contain PII and other sensitive material
- A solid grasp of privacy regulation such as GDPR, CCPA and HIPAA
- A background in document review, data quality assurance or audit work
- Hands-on redaction, anonymisation or de-identification experience
- Clear writing and high attention to detail
- Remote work experience; prior roles as a privacy analyst, paralegal, eDiscovery specialist or compliance analyst are a plus
What it pays
micro1 publishes $31–60/hour. The ad does not say what decides where you land; depth of privacy or review experience is the obvious candidate, but that is our reading. No pay structure, hours or project length are stated.
Worth knowing
Good:
- A direct route into AI work for paralegals and document reviewers
- 50 openings
- Familiar regulations and familiar tasks; no AI experience is asked for
- The combination of quality review and PII checks is more varied than redaction review alone
Less good:
- United States residents only
- The bottom of the band is modest for experienced privacy professionals
- Spot-checking for missed PII is repetitive and errors carry weight
- The customer and the type of business data are not named
- No hours, duration or start date published
