Pharmacy Technician

Rex.Zone: pay and who it accepts · Posted

What you'll do

You review AI answers on medication topics for clinical accuracy, patient safety, clarity and completeness, and note where evidence is thin. You correct wrong or incomplete answers with structured notes explaining the fix, answer medication questions from supplied patient context, reference material and labelling guidance, and check pharmacy workflow steps: sig codes, NDCs, days-supply calculations and insurance adjudication. Unclear clinical context, conflicting guidance or anything that could affect patient safety gets escalated.

The role evaluates AI output. The ad is explicit that it does not involve giving medical advice or care to anyone.

Who fits

  • A Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or an equivalent registration in your country (the ad marks this as "to be confirmed")
  • 2+ years in a retail, hospital or specialty pharmacy
  • A strong understanding of medication safety, drug interactions and pharmacy best practice
  • Clear written English and a commitment to patient privacy and de-identification
  • Preferred: prior authorisation or specialty pharmacy experience, pharmacy software such as Epic Willow or PioneerRx, and AI evaluation, clinical content review or healthcare data annotation experience

What it pays

Rex.Zone states a single figure: USD $35 per hour, adjusted by country of residence. It is a flat rate rather than a range, so the adjustment can only pull it down for some locations. The ad does not say how the adjustment is calculated, and does not state pay frequency or method. It is well below the Rex.Zone science and statistics listings posted alongside it, but this role does not ask for a university degree.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Open worldwide with no country restriction listed
  • Uses practical pharmacy knowledge that does not need a degree
  • A clear scope: you evaluate AI output and never advise patients
  • A single stated rate, so there is no guessing at the band

Less good:

  • $35 is well below the science and statistics roles, before any country adjustment
  • Strict privacy rules: work only with de-identified data and report immediately if you see real patient information
  • You must not use or disclose anything belonging to your employer, your pharmacy or any patient
  • The ad gives no weekly hours or task volume
  • Payment depends on verification and on sanctions, export-control, tax and employment rules, and the contractor agreement covering ownership and licence terms was still marked "to be confirmed by Rex Legal"
