Finance Expert (AI Training Waitlist)

Sovrano AI: pay and who it accepts · Posted Revised

What you'll do

A model can lay out a DCF or a comps table that looks finished and rests on a bad assumption: a terminal growth rate no business sustains, a peer set that does not match the target, a working capital line with the sign flipped. Sovrano's finance network is for people who have built those models and sat in the review where someone caught the problem.

This listing is a waitlist. You apply, complete an AI interview of about 20 minutes on your field, and Sovrano contacts you if a finance project matches your background. Nothing is attached to the application, contact is not guaranteed, and the wait depends on demand.

Projects can involve:

  • building case packages (models, memos and decks) in investment banking or corporate finance
  • reviewing other practitioners' work against an acceptance checklist
  • evaluating AI output on valuation and analysis for errors in logic, numbers and judgment

Work is reviewed, and only approved work is paid.

Who fits

Two requirements decide this one: hands-on finance experience and strong Excel modelling. Unlike Sovrano's physics or mathematics waitlists, a degree in progress is not listed as enough. The skill tags cover financial modelling, valuation, DCF, comparable company analysis, M&A, credit analysis, Excel and presentation building, which reads like an analyst or associate profile in banking, corporate development or credit.

You also need fluent written English, a reliable connection, a quiet place to work, and willingness to work without AI tools where a project requires it.

What it pays

Up to $150 an hour; no minimum is stated. The rate for each project is set separately and sent to you in writing with the scope and hours. Payment terms are not published on the listing.

This waitlist offers no scheduled work until a project fits your background.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Uses the skills a banking or corporate finance analyst already has
  • Rate, hours and scope arrive in writing before you agree to anything
  • No obligation to accept a project
  • Remote and part-time across North America, Europe and Turkey

Less good:

  • Waitlist only: no project and no guarantee you will be contacted
  • The $150 is a ceiling; the actual rate is unknown until an offer
  • Only approved deliverables are paid
  • Weekly hours are not given
  • Sovrano says most of its projects run under NDA, so you may learn little about one before accepting

About this listing

How to get hired

  • Screening is the short AI interview (around 20 minutes); Sovrano's site says its assessment covers domain knowledge and evaluation ability.
  • Lead with your modelling record: the deal or credit work you built models for, and your Excel level stated concretely (three-statement models, comps built from filings) instead of "advanced Excel".
  • Before the interview, pick a DCF you built and list the three assumptions that move the value most. Defending assumptions is what the ad says the work checks.
  • Our interview prep section covers AI screening interviews.
