The ad names no customer beyond "leading technology and research teams", so the downstream use is not confirmed. What you are really selling is the ability to set a problem that stretches strong readers and to defend the answer.

Who fits

• PhD in Chemistry, completed or ongoing, or a completed Master's in Chemistry
• Depth in a specialty, since originality is the point
• Rigour in writing out each step of a solution

What it pays

Terac's board lists $160 per task. The same project appears at $70, $77 and $112 per task on Terac, and the ad does not explain the higher rate (a different specialty or customer is possible but not stated). At the longest task length of 4 hours that is about $40 an hour; our arithmetic, not Terac's.

Worth knowing
