What you'll do

Brazil is by far the largest Portuguese-speaking market, and its support conversations sound nothing like Portugal's. A virtual agent serving Brazilian customers should say você, celular and estou verificando, not tu, telemóvel and estou a verificar; models trained on mixed data slip between the two. This listing wants native speakers who catch that instantly and can also judge whether the technical answer underneath is correct.

The tasks, as Invisible describes them, are reviews of AI-generated coding and technical customer service outputs: virtual agent responses, JSON structures, audio-related content and other technical materials. You assess accuracy, clarity and guideline alignment and write feedback. The emphasis on Brazilian pronunciation hints at some audio review; the listing does not quantify it.

Who fits

  • Native-level Portuguese with strong familiarity with Brazilian pronunciation, phrasing, tone and conventions
  • Residence in Brazil is not required
  • Strong JSON: reading, validating, troubleshooting, and spotting formatting or structural issues
  • Coding knowledge enough to catch basic logic, syntax and functionality problems
  • Comfort following detailed guidelines and giving thoughtful feedback

European Portuguese speakers are not the target. Brazil's large developer and support workforce means the applicant pool is bigger than for most siblings, so a clear résumé showing both technical work and Portuguese matters. No programming language, degree or experience minimum is named.

What it pays

$21.00 an hour, the same as every other language version of this role. For a contractor based in Brazil, a fixed USD rate paid weekly via Stripe or Wise is worth more in local terms than it is for one in Western Europe, though exchange and transfer fees apply; the listing does not mention fees.

Other terms on the listing: independent contractor basis, your own schedule, no minimum work guaranteed, and no H-1B or STEM OPT contractors.

Getting in

Upload a résumé (about 5 minutes), then finish the unpaid "unlock paid projects" step (about 30 minutes). The listing says using LLMs, automation or scripting tools on your submission may disqualify you.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Brazilian Portuguese is a large market, so this kind of work tends to recur
  • Paid in USD, which goes further in Brazil
  • No residence requirement, flexible hours, weekly payment terms

Less good:

  • More competition than for smaller languages like Welsh or Dutch
  • No hours, volume or project length published
  • Unpaid qualification with no guarantee of paid work
  • Posted about three months before we read it
