  • household tasks

What you'll do

You wear your phone on a head strap and film yourself doing everyday housework, so the footage shows each task as you see it. It is data collection for AI; there is no editing or labelling on your side.

Getting in involves a device compatibility check and an AI-run interview. Anyone who meets the location and equipment rules is then asked to verify their identity within 48 hours of being contacted, and no contract is issued until that is done.

Who can apply

  • Residence in one of the 39 states the ad lists, and eligibility to work in the US
  • An iPhone 12 or later, a Google Pixel 6 to 9, or a Samsung Galaxy S21 or later
  • Comfort wearing the phone mount that gets shipped to you
  • The physical ability to do repetitive movement tasks safely

The listed states are Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming. Check your state before applying; the ad does not explain the list.

What it pays

$15 per hour of recorded video that meets project guidelines. The unit is accepted footage, not time spent, so setup and rejected clips are unpaid. A $20 signing bonus, framed as reimbursement for the head strap, is paid after 20 hours of work.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • No experience needed; any recent phone from the three named lines qualifies
  • A single stated rate with no range to guess at
  • 1,000 openings
  • Fully remote from home

Less good:

  • Pay counts accepted video only
  • Many states are excluded, including California
  • You are filming your home, so mind what ends up in frame
  • Identity verification within 48 hours is required
  • Start depends on the head strap's shipping time; no project length or weekly hours stated

About this listing

Posted by micro1 on its own jobs portal and read on 19 October 2026. The $15/hour rate, the $20 bonus, the state list and the device list are its published text.

How it differs from the earlier At-Home Video Recorder (U.S): that listing shows $10–15 per hour and a 40-state list that includes New York; this one shows a flat $15 and a 39-state list without New York. The Latin American version is At-Home Video Recorder (LATAM). See micro1.
