What you'll do
You act as a hands-on tester for AI systems. You carry out real-world digital workflows on online platforms, products and services, use AI tools to complete assigned tasks, and judge how well the tools did. When the project calls for it, that includes online purchasing, payment and cancellation flows, following the project guidelines.
You document each task with screenshots, observations and structured feedback, flag errors and inconsistencies in the AI's output, and explain what would make it more accurate and useful in practice. Assignments are completed independently. It is remote contractor work for a customer project, with 50 openings.
What you need
- A few years of professional experience in any field (business, technology, operations or similar)
- Hands-on experience with AI tools
- Confidence navigating online platforms and applications
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and attention-to-detail skills
- Clear written communication and documentation
- Comfort with real purchasing and cancellation tasks, including using personal payment methods under approved reimbursement procedures
- Good weekly availability and the ability to manage several assignments independently
- Residence in the United States (the listing's location)
Nice to have
- Previous micro1, AI training or similar digital project experience
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; the ad calls it preferred but not mandatory
What it pays
micro1's listing states $30–$49/hour. The ad does not say how the band is set or whether payment is hourly or per task, and it does not name a payment method or schedule.
Worth knowing
Good:
- Published hourly band of $30–$49
- Any professional background counts; no prior AI-training job is needed
- 50 openings, so this is a larger intake than most listings
- The ad mentions reimbursement procedures for tasks that use your own payment method
Less good:
- Some tasks involve spending your own money first and claiming it back, so check the reimbursement terms before you start
- Open to people located in the United States only
- The ad gives no hours per week or project length
- You will be asked to document everything in detail, which adds time to each task
