C# Team Lead

What you'll do

The team lead reviews work at two levels: AI-generated C# code and .NET snippets, and the trainers and QA reviewers who grade them. The review criteria in the ad run from correctness and runtime behavior to async handling, type safety, security, test coverage and idiomatic style.

You also answer contributors on topics like dependency injection, EF Core and LINQ, post guideline changes on Discord, chase inactive reviewers, run onboarding calls and keep the C# style guide, FAQ, trackers and calibration tasks current. The brief includes flagging insecure or non-executable recommendations before they reach training data.

Who fits

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering or IT, or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years in C#/.NET development, backend or enterprise work, cloud development, code review or technical mentoring
  • Strong grasp of generics, collections, exceptions, async/await, tasks, nullable reference types, records and .NET runtime behavior
  • Preferred: xUnit, NUnit or MSTest, Docker, Azure or AWS, CI/CD, and experience supporting remote teams

The selection process listed on the ad is an AI interview, a domain-specific task and an interview with a recruiter. The listing is restricted to applicants in the United States.

What it pays

SME lists up to $75 an hour with no floor, $10 more than the C# Engineer ceiling of $65. The ad does not state a payment method or schedule; SME's general terms are on the SuperAnnotate company page.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • The ceiling is above the C# Engineer role
  • Covers the breadth of .NET, from backend to testing, not one narrow niche
  • Management and documentation work adds to your engineering profile

Less good:

  • The ad says there is no immediate project for this role; qualified applicants are among the first contacted when a relevant project opens.
  • US only
  • Coordination and chasing contributors take time away from code
