Estonian Team Lead

What you'll do

You hold the quality line for Estonian-language projects. Day to day that is spot-checking items from trainers and QAs, giving feedback through direct messages, escalating recurring faults, and answering questions about wording, case endings, compounds, register, translation fidelity and terminology. You announce guideline changes on Discord, maintain the Estonian style guide, FAQs, trackers and honeypots, and run the onboarding and training calls.

The ad lists the errors you are expected to catch in the rubric review: mistranslation, literal phrasing, unnatural tone, incorrect case usage, missing diacritics, hallucinated claims and inconsistent terminology. You also message inactive contributors and propose process improvements.

Who fits

• A bachelor's or master's in Estonian, linguistics, translation, communications, journalism, English, education or QA
• Native or near-native Estonian with strong reading and writing, and strong English
• 3+ years in Estonian writing, editing, translation, localisation, content QA, AI training or annotation
• Detailed command of Estonian grammar, diacritics, case endings, compounds and register

Leading or supporting remote teams is strongly preferred; AI training and rubric-based LLM QA are a plus. Applicants must be in Estonia. The ad describes the selection process as an AI interview, a domain-specific task and an interview with a recruiter.

What it pays

Up to $40 an hour per the ad, no floor, $5 above the Estonian Language Expert role. The ad does not describe payment terms; SuperAnnotate's company page covers the Deel contract, paid bootcamp and monitoring software that apply across its hourly projects.
