Full Stack Engineer (Node.js and React)
What you'll do
You act as a senior reviewer for AI-generated full-stack work. You grade code, designs and explanations for correctness, clarity, security, performance and scalability, and you write the reference implementations and step-by-step reasoning that models should learn from. The ad names the review surface: API design, authentication and authorization, data modeling, React rendering and state, Node.js runtime and async behavior, error handling, testing and observability.
You also rank competing AI answers and fact-check technical claims, so the output is as much written judgment as code.
Who fits
- Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 4+ years building production web applications with a Node.js backend and a React frontend
- Strong TypeScript across both sides, plus Node async patterns, API design, validation and security
- React hooks, state, performance and accessibility basics; PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB design, migrations and indexing
- Authentication flows (sessions versus JWT, OAuth/OIDC basics, RBAC) and a testing culture with Jest or Vitest, Playwright or Cypress
- C1 English; AI data or AI-output evaluation experience is a strong plus
What it pays
SME Careers lists up to $100 an hour, tied with the top band in this batch. There is no floor, and the ad does not say which seniority earns the ceiling. The ad does not say how payment is made or how often; the hiring process and payout terms SME publishes are covered on the SuperAnnotate page.
Worth knowing
Good:
- A high ceiling for software engineers, with no on-call or product ownership
- Heavy emphasis on judgment (security, data layer, auth) rather than puzzle solving
- The ad lists a concrete stack, so you can tell whether you match
Less good:
- Open to Germany, India and the United States only
- The ad says there is no immediate project, so approval does not guarantee hours
- Hourly projects are time-tracked; only active time counts
About this listing
Listed on SME Careers, the site where SuperAnnotate hires subject matter experts, and read from its jobs board on 27 October 2026. The board gives no posting date, so we cannot say how long it has been up. Pay, duties and requirements are SME's own text; the commentary is ours. See SuperAnnotate.
