KiCad Specialist

What you'll do

You supply screen-recorded electronics work. Each task starts as your own idea for something a real KiCad user would do (capture a schematic, assign footprints, route traces, manage layers, run ERC/DRC, export Gerbers, fix a design problem), which you write up in SuperAnnotate before recording yourself doing it on your computer.

The recording has to be complete and the setup ready beforehand: KiCad installed, project files prepared, libraries configured, references to hand. Reviewers check that the task is realistic and clearly explained, so a well-chosen task matters more than speed.

Who fits

• Hands-on KiCad experience: schematics, footprints, routing, design-rule checks or Gerber export
• English at B2 or higher
• A computer able to run KiCad and record the screen
• Understanding of projects, symbols, nets, PCB layers, vias, zones and ERC/DRC checks
• Attention to detail and reliability in an hourly, remote workflow

Nice to have

• Electrical engineering, embedded systems, hardware prototyping, CAD or technical documentation background

What it pays

The ad states up to $20 an hour, a ceiling. KiCad is a niche engineering skill, so the ceiling sits well below what SME lists for software engineer roles in the same group (up to $55 for the Kotlin Engineer).
