Latvian Team Lead

What you'll do

As team lead you are accountable for how consistent the Latvian data is. You spot-check items, respond to trainers' questions about case endings, diacritics, register and terminology, and escalate recurring problems.

The coordination duties are listed in full: Discord updates when guidelines change, direct messages to contributors who are not working, onboarding and training calls, and maintained style guides, FAQs, trackers and honeypots. The ad says there is no immediate project for this role; qualified applicants are first in line when a relevant project opens, and the role gives access to future projects through the expert network. Selection is an AI interview, a domain task and a recruiter interview.

Who fits

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Latvian, linguistics, translation, communications, journalism, English, education, QA or related
• Native or near-native Latvian
• Strong English
• 3+ years in Latvian writing, editing, translation, localisation, content QA, AI training or annotation
• Command of case endings, gender agreement, diacritics and register
• Rubric-based evaluation of mistranslation, literal phrasing and hallucination

Nice to have

• Leading remote teams of trainers or QAs (strongly preferred)
• AI training or LLM evaluation experience

What it pays
