Maltese Team Lead

What you'll do

The team lead sits above the Maltese language experts. You spot-check their items, answer questions about diacritics, grammar, register and English or Italian code-switching, and post guideline updates to trainers and QAs on Discord. You also write and maintain the project's style guides, FAQs and onboarding material, run training calls, and follow up with contributors who stop working. The aim is a consistent Maltese standard as the project changes. The ad describes the selection as an AI interview, a domain-specific task and a recruiter interview.

Who fits

• Native or near-native Maltese with strong reading and writing
• A bachelor's or master's degree in Maltese, linguistics, translation, communications, journalism, English, education or QA
• 3+ years in Maltese writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training or education
• Strong English for guidelines and feedback
• A working knowledge of Semitic and Romance-influenced structures and diacritics

Leading or supporting remote teams is strongly preferred; LLM evaluation experience is a plus.

What it pays
