Nepali Team Lead with Mathematical Background

What you'll do

You are the quality reviewer above the Nepali experts. You check their output and trainers' work against project rubrics, answer questions on grammar, honorifics, Devanagari script and terminology, and escalate patterns such as mistranslation, unnatural phrasing or Hindi- and English-influenced wording. The ad's responsibilities list is shorter than other lead roles in this batch and does not mention the Discord onboarding or documentation duties, so the scope may be narrower. The work is remote and hourly.

Who fits

• A bachelor's or master's degree in mathematics
• Native or near-native Nepali with strong reading and writing
• Strong English for guidelines and feedback
• 3+ years in Nepali writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training or education
• Understanding of postpositions, verb forms, agreement and honorific level

LLM evaluation and rubric-based QA experience is a strong plus. The ad does not mention a selection process.

What it pays

The ad says up to $20 an hour, $5 above the Nepali expert role. It is a ceiling and no typical rate is stated. Payment terms and the hiring process are covered on the company page.

Worth knowing

Good:

• A step up from the expert role in pay and responsibility
• Honorific and register skills are central
• Open to four countries

Less good:

• Low ceiling in absolute terms
• The mathematics degree requirement is unexplained and restrictive
• Hours and team size are not published
