Punjabi Team Lead with Mathematical Background
What you'll do
This is the leadership counterpart to the Punjabi expert role. You review the work of trainers and QAs against rubrics, answer questions on Punjabi wording, register, dialect and the choice between Gurmukhi and Shahmukhi, and run onboarding calls. You also keep style guides, FAQs, trackers and honeypots up to date, and follow up with contributors who stop working.
Who fits
- A bachelor's or master's degree in mathematics
- Native or near-native Punjabi with strong reading and writing, plus English for guidelines and feedback
- 3+ years in Punjabi writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training or annotation
- Fluency in Gurmukhi and/or Shahmukhi; you say which
- Experience leading remote teams strongly preferred; LLM or rubric QA is a plus
Applicants are accepted from Canada, India and Pakistan.
What it pays
The listing states up to $25 an hour, with no minimum given. It is an hourly contract, so you are paid for tracked active time. SuperAnnotate's company page covers payout through Deel and the time-tracking rules; this listing states no payment terms of its own.
Worth knowing
Good:
- Up to $25 an hour, $10 above the expert version of the role
- Leadership and documentation experience is portable
- Selection includes a domain task and a recruiter interview
Less good:
- The mathematics degree requirement is unusual for a language role and narrows the field
- Management chores sit alongside review
- Pay is "up to" $25 with no floor stated
