R Team Lead

What you'll do

You oversee R work rather than only writing it. You review AI-generated R code, statistical explanations, visualizations and modeling workflows for invalid assumptions, data leakage, hallucinated functions and misleading charts, answer contributors' questions on packages and reproducibility, and write the documentation (style guides, FAQs, honeypots) that keeps reviews consistent. You also run onboarding calls and follow up with inactive contributors.

Who fits

• A bachelor's or master's in statistics, data science, mathematics, computer science, economics, biology or social sciences
• 3+ years using R for analysis, research, teaching or technical review
• Command of data frames, factors, missing data, tidyverse and base R
• Preferred: dplyr, ggplot2, Shiny, Quarto, tidymodels, lme4, survival, Git
• Leading remote teams is strongly preferred

Applicants are accepted from the United States only. The related R Engineer role is open in many more countries at up to $55.

What it pays
