Rust Engineer

What you'll do

You review Rust code and explanations from AI models, and where useful write your own. The ad is specific about what to look for: mistakes in ownership, borrowing and lifetimes, reasoning about aliasing and data races, and misuse of traits, generics, pattern matching and error handling. You also compare several model responses and rate them on correctness and reasoning, so strong written explanation matters as much as strong Rust.

Who fits

• 1 to 2+ years of professional Rust in backend, CLI or systems projects
• A firm grasp of the ownership, borrowing and lifetime model
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field
• C1 English and precise, structured technical writing
• Significant use of AI coding assistants, with a habit of validating their output
• Highly preferred: Tokio, Actix, Serde and async Rust; preferred: open-source Rust contributions
