Subject-Matter AI Evaluation Contributor: Independent Contractor
What you'll do
You review AI assistants as they work through realistic, multi-step tasks in your subject area. You assess the results and the whole interaction, checking accuracy and instruction following, compare different approaches and explain your judgment with specific evidence. The feedback is meant to be clear, concise and attentive to detail. The work is remote, on an independent contractor basis.
Who fits
You need a demonstrable background in at least one of the listed domains; you do not need all of them. Professional practice, independent projects, or academic study and research all count, as long as they let you spot errors, notice missing context and judge whether an answer is useful.
The domains are: applied ML and data science, backend software engineering, creative production and marketing, education and instructional design, ghostwriting and nonfiction, independent consulting, financial planning, indie game design, legal and contracts analysis, life sciences research, luxury travel advisory, property management, residential real estate, business ownership, startup founding, and academic research and study.
The listing also asks for 20–40 hours of weekly availability, which you indicate when applying. It is an unusually broad list; the mix of practical fields (property management, travel advisory, real estate) alongside research ones suggests the tasks are about real-world usefulness rather than exam-style questions, though the ad does not say so directly.
What it pays
Invisible's listing states $21.00/hour for the Trainer role, one rate across all domain tracks. Task volume and engagement details are described as confirmed separately, so the listing does not guarantee a number of paid hours. Per the contract terms, payment is issued weekly via Stripe or Wise, and H-1B and STEM OPT contractors cannot be supported at this time.
Worth knowing
Good:
- Plenty of ways in: sixteen domain tracks, and you only need one
- Experience from independent projects or study counts, not only formal employment
- A flat hourly rate
Less good:
- Each track has its own 20-minute assessment (short video introduction, three judgment checks and a brief written comparison), and it is unpaid
- The 20–40 hours a week ask is large, and the listing says task volume is confirmed separately, so the work may not fill that time
- You are asked to describe your own contribution to past projects without sharing confidential information, so be ready to write about it carefully
- H-1B and STEM OPT contractors are excluded
The onboarding flow asks you to upload a resume (about 5 minutes) and then complete the qualification before paid projects unlock.

We read this listing on the Meridial marketplace in late October 2026; it showed as posted about 15 hours earlier. We could not verify how much work is available per contributor. The original title uses a dash that we replaced with a colon.
