What you'll do

The core of personal injury practice is reading a set of facts and deciding who is liable, for what, and how strong the case really is. This project asks you to do exactly that with written scenarios: identify the issues, assess liability and apply your judgment.

You then review AI-generated legal analyses, arguments and documents and flag where they fall short: an element of negligence glossed over, a causation gap, a defence the model never considered, a conclusion the facts do not support. Each review ends with structured feedback and corrections the customer uses to improve the model's legal reasoning.

The work is remote contractor work. Weekly hours and project length are not stated.

Who fits

  • A J.D. from a US law school
  • An active bar license in at least one US state
  • More than three years of practising law, preferably in personal injury or civil litigation
  • Strong legal reasoning, issue-spotting and document review
  • Clear written English and close attention to detail

Plaintiff and defence experience both fit the description. Unlike its sibling listings, this ad names a state bar only and does not mention a District of Columbia license, so confirm with micro1 if DC is your only admission.

What it pays

$100–170/hour, micro1's published band. For many PI lawyers on contingency, a predictable hourly figure is the attraction; the ad does not say what places you in the band or whether pay is for time or per task.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • 50 openings, flagged high demand
  • Three years of practice qualifies
  • Civil litigation experience outside PI also counts
  • Hourly pay rather than contingency

Less good:

  • US residence and an active US state license are both required
  • No hours, project length or compensation structure published
  • Contractor engagement: no benefits, no notice period, your own tax to manage
  • The customer and product are not named
