Generalist AI Trainer
Rex.Zone: pay and who it accepts · Posted
What you'll do
You improve language models with broad, non-specialist work. The ad lists writing and refining prompts and responses on varied topics; comparing and ranking AI answers for accuracy, tone, style and safety with written feedback; acting as an adversarial user to expose flaws, biases and logic errors; fact-checking; and applying project guidelines consistently. It is remote.
Who fits
- Native or near-native English with strong writing and grammar
- Proven experience as an AI trainer, data annotator or similar role working with large language models; this is stated as required
- Broad general knowledge (history, sciences, arts, culture)
- Independent, deadline-aware, and able to adapt as guidelines change
- Preferred: a degree in a writing-heavy or technical field, or domain knowledge in STEM, law, finance, creative writing or medicine
No country restriction is stated, so we have left eligibility open. Unlike the specialist roles on this board, no degree is mandatory; the bar is prior AI-training experience.
What it pays
Rex.Zone states $30–65 USD per hour, set by project complexity and your experience. The ad does not say how many hours are on offer.
Worth knowing
Good:
- No specific degree is required, and the band is solid for generalist work
- Broad topics, so you are not tied to one niche
- Remote and open worldwide
Less good:
- Previous AI-training experience is listed as required, so it is a poor first step into the field
- Rex.Zone typically requires an entry exam and verified profile before applying
- The exact rate depends on the project and on your experience
