Legal & Compliance AI Specialist

Rex.Zone: pay and who it accepts · Posted

What you'll do

You check how well AI handles legal material. That means reviewing AI-written summaries of statutes, cases, contracts and filings; labelling clauses in contracts, pleadings and regulatory texts by type, risk level, obligation and governing jurisdiction; grading AI-drafted memos, briefs and contract drafts with citation-backed feedback; and mapping relationships between statutes, cases, regulators and doctrines for a knowledge graph. The work is remote and project-based.

Who fits

  • A JD, LLB, LLM or equivalent law degree; bar admission or an equivalent professional qualification is described as highly desirable
  • Practical experience at a law firm, in-house team, regulator, or legal tech or compliance function
  • Command of at least one legal system (common law or civil law); cross-border familiarity is a plus
  • A specialism such as corporate and M&A, contracts, IP, data privacy (GDPR, CCPA, PIPL), financial regulation or litigation
  • Strong writing and citation discipline

The ad sets no country restriction, so we have left eligibility open.

What it pays

Rex.Zone states that its legal and compliance experts typically earn $60–140 USD per hour. The upper end is reserved for work needing highly specialised knowledge (cross-border M&A, complex regulatory litigation, niche IP) or partner-level experience. The ad does not say how many hours a week are available or how work is allocated.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • One of the wider pay bands on the Rex.Zone board, with a stated top end tied to specialism
  • Your jurisdiction and practice area are the point; narrow legal expertise is valued
  • Remote and open worldwide

Less good:

  • Most Rex.Zone roles sit behind an entry exam and a verified-profile check before you can apply
  • Where you land in the $60–140 range depends on the project, and the ad gives no way to predict it
  • Law is jurisdiction-specific, so a mismatch between your system and the project's may limit tasks
