Physicist

Rex.Zone: pay and who it accepts · Posted

What you'll do

You evaluate AI answers to physics questions for both conceptual and numerical correctness. You write prompts and reference solutions at a professional level, flag unsupported assumptions, dimensional errors and calculation mistakes, and apply project rubrics while explaining your scoring. You also review other experts' work for accuracy and clarity.

Where the Physics Expert listing is about reading documents and writing problems, this one centres on grading: judging answers against a rubric and justifying the score. It asks for a physics degree plus professional experience, and unlike the Expert ad it does not require a postgraduate degree.

Who fits

  • A degree in physics and professional experience in research, a laboratory or industry (no minimum number of years is stated)
  • Strong problem-solving across several areas of physics
  • Excellent written English and reliable independent working to deadlines
  • Preferred: simulation or data-analysis experience, teaching or tutoring, and earlier AI-training work

What it pays

Rex.Zone states USD $70–125 per hour, adjusted by country of residence. That is $20 higher at the floor and $45 higher at the ceiling than the Physics Expert listing, with a lower academic bar. The country adjustment is not explained, and the ad does not state how often or by what method you are paid.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Open worldwide with no country restriction listed
  • The higher-paid of the two physics roles, without requiring a Master's or PhD
  • Grading and rubric work rewards clear scientific judgement
  • Peer review of other experts' work is part of the job, which keeps quality high

Less good:

  • Country adjustment is unexplained, so the $125 may not apply to you
  • The ad does not say how much work is available or how many hours to expect
  • You are expected to justify every score in writing
  • Payment depends on verification and on sanctions, export-control, tax and employment rules, and the contractor agreement covering ownership and licence terms was still marked "to be confirmed by Rex Legal"
