Angular Engineer

What you'll do

You review the Angular code AI models write and the explanations they give. The ad names the areas to probe: change detection and OnPush, RxJS streams and cancellation, state management, routing and Reactive Forms, SSR and hydration, and bundle performance. Besides ranking responses you write the correct version and the reasoning behind it, so the training data covers not just which answer wins but what made the others wrong.

The ad also asks for accessibility awareness, so a response that works but breaks keyboard or screen reader use counts as a defect.

Who fits

  • Four or more years of production Angular (Angular 12+ preferred, 16 or 17+ a strong plus)
  • Expert TypeScript and Angular basics: components, standalone APIs, DI, pipes, directives, guards, interceptors
  • Solid RxJS: operators, multicasting, error handling, cancellation
  • Knowledge of rendering performance: OnPush, async pipe, zone.js, signals, trackBy
  • Testing experience with Jasmine/Karma or Jest, Angular Testing Library, Cypress or Playwright
  • Real code review experience, with an eye on maintainability and accessibility
  • English at C1 or above

A computer science or software engineering degree is asked, or equivalent practical experience. AI data work is a strong plus.

The role is open to applicants in Germany, India and the United States only.

What it pays

SME's listing says up to $90 an hour, no floor given. Compare Android on the same board at up to $110: both are four-year engineering roles, but the Angular listing is capped lower and open to far fewer countries. The listing does not state how or when you are paid; the company page covers SME's Deel payout cycle.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Review work on a framework you already use daily
  • Only three countries are eligible, so the pool is smaller than for most SME roles
  • Accessibility is treated as part of correctness

Less good:

  • Eligibility is limited to Germany, India and the US
  • No immediate project; you join a pool
  • Up to $90 is a ceiling, and the ad does not explain how rates are set

About this listing

Posted on SME Careers (sme.careers), where SuperAnnotate hires subject matter experts, and read on 27 October 2026. The board gives no posting date. The duties, requirements and pay are SME's own text; the comparisons and commentary are ours. The interview, Deel contract, bootcamp and time tracking are covered on the company page rather than repeated here. The ad says there is no immediate project for this role; qualified applicants are among the first contacted when relevant work opens, which also gives access to future projects in the expert network.
