Firebase Specialist

What you'll do

You make training material for AI agents that operate software. You invent a realistic Firebase task, write it up in SuperAnnotate, prepare your own test project and sample data, then record yourself carrying it out on your computer. Reviewers need to be able to see what the task was and how it was completed.

The ad lists the surface area: creating projects, Authentication, Firestore, Realtime Database, Storage, Hosting, Cloud Functions basics, security rules, console navigation, app configuration, deployments and troubleshooting a broken setup. The recordings are meant to show how a real user moves through backend-as-a-service work.

Who fits

  • Hands-on Firebase experience across setup, authentication, databases, storage, hosting, security rules or deployment
  • English at B2 or above, enough to follow instructions and document tasks clearly
  • Comfort with browser consoles, developer tools, terminals and screen recording
  • Ability to invent tasks that reflect real web, mobile, backend or admin use, and to have Firebase access, test projects and safe sample data ready
  • Extra professional skills are welcome (web, mobile or backend development, cloud, JavaScript, Flutter, QA, DevOps)

No years of experience are specified, and the ad does not ask for a degree.

What it pays

SME Careers lists up to $25 an hour, with no floor. It is the highest of the app-specialist roles in this batch, and well below SME's engineering expert bands. The ad does not say how payment is made or how often; the hiring process and payout terms SME publishes are covered on the SuperAnnotate page.

Worth knowing

Good:

  • Work is built around tasks you already know how to do, so there is little to learn about the subject
  • No degree or years of experience stated
  • Task design and recording let you choose what to demonstrate

Less good:

  • Open to Bangladesh, India and Pakistan only
  • You must be recorded while working and keep your setup and data safe to share
  • Hourly pay is for active time on a tracked project, and the ad names no current volume

About this listing

Listed on SME Careers, the site where SuperAnnotate hires subject matter experts, and read from its jobs board on 27 October 2026. The board gives no posting date, so we cannot say how long it has been up. Pay, duties and requirements are SME's own text; the commentary is ours. See SuperAnnotate.
