Physics Quality Assurance Lead (QAL)

What you'll do

You lead quality on physics projects. You spot-check physics items and trainer or QA work against rubrics, and review AI-generated explanations, calculations, diagrams, derivations and experimental interpretations. The ad lists incorrect assumptions, wrong formulas, unit errors, sign convention mistakes and physically impossible claims among the faults to flag. You answer contributors' questions on assumptions, units and rubrics, post guideline changes to the team, chase inactive contributors, maintain style guides, trackers, FAQs and honeypots, and run onboarding calls.

Who fits

• A bachelor's, master's or PhD in physics, applied physics, engineering physics, astrophysics, mathematics, engineering or a related quantitative field
• 3+ years in physics research, teaching, tutoring, laboratory work, science writing, academic review or engineering analysis
• Command of classical mechanics, electromagnetism, waves, optics, thermodynamics, statistical and quantum mechanics, relativity and dimensional analysis
• Python, MATLAB, Mathematica, LaTeX or simulation tools are preferred
• Leading remote teams of educators, reviewers or QAs is strongly preferred
