Russian Team Lead

What you'll do

This is the quality-assurance lead for Russian projects, not a reviewing seat. You spot-check Russian items, give feedback to trainers and QAs by direct message, answer their questions on wording, case usage, register and translation fidelity, and keep project documentation such as style guides, FAQs, trackers and honeypots. You also run onboarding calls and chase contributors who have gone inactive. Where the Language Expert role is mostly about the text, this one is mostly about the people producing it.

Who fits

• Native or near-native Russian and a strong grasp of English
• 3+ years in Russian writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, education or annotation
• A Bachelor's or Master's in Russian, linguistics, translation, communications, education or related
• Command of declension, aspect, gender agreement, tone and register
• Preferred: leading or supporting remote teams; comfort with Discord, Google Sheets and trackers

What it pays

The ad lists up to $30 an hour and no minimum. That is $5 above the Russian Language Expert listing, the usual premium for the lead seat. Payment method and timing are not set out in the listing; the SuperAnnotate company page covers the contracting setup.

Worth knowing

Good:

• Leadership experience on the CV, with documentation and onboarding work that carries over to other roles
• A step up in pay for a related skill set

Less good:

• The ad lists three selection steps: an AI interview, a domain-specific task and an interview with a recruiter.
• Coordination duties (activation chasing, calls, escalation) make it more demanding than pure review
• Pay is a ceiling, and the ad publishes no hours
